ABOUT ALS READY

Preparedness is more than knowing the answers.

ALS Ready brings knowledge, recognition, practical skills, decision-making and leadership together so learners can prepare for the whole ALS experience.

WHY IT EXISTS

From revision to readiness.

Question banks are useful, but they prepare you for only one part of ALS. ALS Ready was built around a broader question: what would actually help a learner walk into the course feeling ready?

THE IDEA

Built around the learner experience.

The idea behind ALS Ready grew from the anxiety many learners feel before an ALS course. You know the course is important. You know you need to understand the algorithms. But success is not simply about remembering facts or working through hundreds of multiple-choice questions.

You may be expected to recognise ECG rhythms quickly, use emergency equipment, demonstrate practical skills, manage a deteriorating patient and bring a team together during a cardiac arrest simulation. That requires familiarity, repetition and confidence across the whole ALS experience.

ALS Ready exists to bring those elements together in one place. The aim is not simply to help someone pass ALS. It is to help them arrive prepared to learn, perform and lead.

01

Knowledge

Focused learning, explanations and question practice designed to strengthen the clinical reasoning behind ALS decisions.

02

Recognition

Rhythm and ECG practice intended to make important patterns feel familiar before they appear in an assessment or real resuscitation.

03

Skills

Preparation for practical and interpretation skills so learners understand not only what to do, but how each skill fits into the wider resuscitation sequence.

04

Decision-making

Scenarios that ask learners to prioritise, reassess and respond as the clinical picture changes rather than simply recall isolated facts.

05

Leadership

Simulation practice centred on role allocation, communication, situational awareness and leading an effective resuscitation team.

06

Confidence

Repeated, structured exposure so the course feels less unfamiliar and the learner can concentrate on applying what they know.

OUR PRINCIPLE

Don't just pass ALS. Be ready for it.

ALS Ready is an independent educational resource for learners who want more than a bank of questions. It brings together knowledge, quizzes, skill stations, ECG recognition and scenario-based practice.

ALS Ready is not affiliated with or endorsed by Resuscitation Council UK and is not a substitute for an accredited ALS course or its official learning materials. Official course resources and current clinical guidelines should remain the primary source for course preparation and clinical practice.
